Greenwood Hostel Greenwood Hostel is a small, family run hostel on the Ring of Kerry, 10 km west from Kenmare. It is situated in the middle of the countryside in a peaceful setting. The Kerry Way, famous among walkers, passes the hostel in a distance of only 200 m. It consists of an old cottage, built around 1890, and an extension, built in the 1960's. The then owner wanted to have a look over the beautiful Kenmare Bay while the trees around the house were already quite high. So he added a tower to the hostel which now offers the guests magnificent views. Around the hostel is a garden with many flowers and mature trees. The orchard has nice places to relax and enjoy the lush nature of Kerry. The owners, Sabine and Torsten are looking forward meeting you. Greenwood Hostel has recently been awarded "best country hostel in Ireland 2013" by Irish Holiday Hostels.
